Smoke has been used in rituals and for spiritual or magical purposes for eons. It is difficult to contain and almost impossible to shape to your will. 
 
The latter is probably why we ended up shaping the stone of The Smoke by hand several times in order to get it's unique result. The stone measures approximately 19mm X 17mm and it weighs in at approximately 18 carats. 
 
We casted it in silver to lessen the overall weight. We also applied a matte finish to the sides and kept the edges and shank high polished to provide contrast.
